Nice drunken noodles with chicken, ordered medium spicy and served medium spicy. Broccoli dish was good too, but strangely, they insisted we choose 'veggie' (or tofu or meat). Couldn't order naked broccoli in spicy sauce. Good thai iced tea but maybe that isn't real hard to achieve. The space looks nice although they do have the hated banquet seating on one side. We were there for lunch on a rainy Sunday and the place was empty.

This has become a regular for us. Great Thai food. You can order it the way you like it. Everything I have ordered here I have loved. Pad Thai is the best. Watch out. When they ask you if you want it hot they mean HOT!!!! Medium is about all I can handle.

Excellent Thai food. You don't come here for the location (old strip mall) but the authentic taste and 'no kidding' Thai heat make Thai Season a find.

The food was too good and spiciness can be well customized.. The Curries and Noodles were well made. Many options available for any vegetarian... Wish the quantity of rice was given a little bit more and slightly quick service would encourage more customers. Will visit there again if I get a chance..

We ordered take out. The pine apple fried rice is very good and so is beef noodle soup. Fry tofu is over cooked. I think the food is decently good. I only give 3 stars because they require credit card number for take out which I didn't feel safe and not sure I will do that again.

Love this place! We come here whenever we are in the area and it is always yummy. Tried the spicy calamari appetizer this time and wanted to lick the plate. The only complaint would be they do not have enough waitstaff to handle it when it gets busy. No problem ever with the food.

Date night with my husband while on vacation! Chicken satay appetizer was good, peanut sauce was pretty good and cucumber relish was only so-so... lacking in my opinion as far as flavor, but not terrible. Crab rangoon appetizer was better, even despite the imitation crab. Wontons tasted fresh, just the right amount of cream cheese mixture...perfectly fried - yum! Hubby chose the Basil Fried Rice, spice level medium, and it was very good, not too much spice in the bite, more in the after taste...nice dish. I had the Red Curry with chicken and spice level (mildly) medium. The flavor was very good, spice level could have been a little higher for me, but it was a nice level. Chicken and bamboo shoots were cooked perfectly as were the vegetables. I think my only complaint would be the thickness of the sauce itself. It was runnier than what I'm used to, as I like it a little creamier/heavier, but the flavor was good, so I was happy! The restaurant itself, as others have described, is located in a random stretch of abandoned strip mall. The inside though, looks newly decorated, with really nice dark wood floors and modern decor...really impressive to me given the rough exterior. There are tables outside, but with the threat of evening showers and wonderful interior, we opted to dine in. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the area!

Very nice and clean place, the staff is quite nice and helpful. I had the drunken noodles with chicken and it was prepared well and had good portion. If you're going for clear your sinuses you will need to ask them to kick it up a notch. But I am over all happy

Food was delicious! We had the basil fried rice and the roast duck. I docked this place one star because we were rudely rushed when we came in at 9:30 pm and the kitchen was closing at 9:45. We hardly had time to think about our order and the waitress was not very helpful.

Down visiting again and I can't wait to visit this GEM again. Best Thai food I have ever sampled, and I've sampled a lot! They passed my pad Thai test and the glass noodle salad is a dish to be savored. Although I warn you, if you can't take spice let them know because they pack it on.

It was me, my husband, and his family vacationing in Myrtle Beach for a week. Our first night we decided to order in. Everyone wanted Thai and I chose this place based on the reviews and closeness. First of all, it was very hard communicating my order with whomever answered the phone. It was hard for me to understand her. We had a large order - there were 12 of us - and she had to call me back to give me the total and take the credit card info. I asked if she could make sure to label the containers, since some were the same entree but some were spicy, some had different meat, etc. she said no. Then I pleaded with her, "How will we know what's spicy and what's not? We have to taste them all?" She then agreed to label them. They don't deliver. When we got the order, one of the entrees was missing. The food also wasn't all that great. I had the Basil with chicken. I've had better. The spring rolls were good though.

From the outside, it looks a little questionable, but inside you'll find a beautiful place with delicious food! For appetizers, we had the seaweed salad, spring rolls and wanton soup, all of which were perfectly prepared and delicious! Stuck with just the Pad Thai for dinner, it was very, very good and the portion size was perfect, beware of the heat though and be very clear when ordering. My boyfriend ordered his Hot and I ordered mine Medium and they mixed up our order. I was only able to eat about 3 bites of my plate before my taste buds were rendered useless by heat. It was still delicious though! The service was a bit on the slow side, but they keep a small staff and it wasn't unseasonable, just a little slow. We will definitely return, often!

The worst Thai food I have ever had! I eat Thai quite a bit and have never had such a horrible meal. The chicken tasted as if it had gone bad, the Pad Thai noodles were mushy with way too much sauce, the shrimp wasn't fresh, the crab rangoons were nasty, the pork dumplings were tasteless. This place doesn't deserve any stars!

  • India J.

Such great Thai food with fresh basil and seafood. We came for lunch and service was efficient and friendly. Also, had a mojito that was a great complement to the drunken noodles!

  • Britt A.

Freshly prepared and really good size portions. We ordered the papaya salad to split and it was very yummy. Then we had the hot and sour soup and drunken noodles. We had to decide if we should eat it all now or save some to eat later cut it was so good. (We ate it all now). Clean and very polite servers. We are visiting area but if we lived here we would come back weekly.

The first true Thai restaurant on the north end, and the best. The green curry is my favorite. They have VERY reasonable lunch specials. The Thai iced tea here is awesome. Not fancy but good and consistent. They also have Asian grocery items available. Service is efficient if not terrible friendly.

Our decision to stop here was the result of the four-star reviews by other Yelpers. The atmosphere was pleasant enough and the service good. We decided on a single entrée of pad Thai as well as a Dumpling, Spicy Calamari and a Crab Rangoon appetizers. All were tasty and a reasonable portion for the price. The pad Thai was tasty but certainly not the best that I have ever had. Additionally it was ordered to be mildly spicy, however there simply was no spicy-heat in this dish. As noted, everything was tasty but not so much so that it would make me want to rush back here before trying other Thai alternatives. Based on the fact that there had been so many four and five-star reviews, I felt just a little disappointed.

I only ordered 2 items from the menu and they were both gross. Maybe all the people that have tried this place don't know what Thai food should really taste like since it seems to be the only one around but this place deserves no stars. Overall bad experience and over priced items.

Food was really good. Service was good as well! Also very quick! Will go again next year when we come to the beach!

Judging a book by the cover would be a mistake when it comes to Thai Season. The exterior was rather lack luster but the inside was beautiful and clean and modern. Everything we had was excellent. The best crab rangoons and pot stickers ever. The crispy fish (recommend by another diner) was amazing and had a light batter with a slightly sweet sauce. The beef pad thai was also delicious and my spicy ginger chicken was absolutely outstanding. It was light and sliced into thin pieces very delicately battered, lightly crispy and only lightly spicy and perfect with the fried rice. Our server was so delighted when we raved about the food. She came back and said "I told the owner and he is very happy." I only wish we had saved room for dessert.

Thai is my favorite cuisine. They have an awesome menu & are as good (& better in some cases) than any place I've visited! Go. Enjoy the great food & service. Thank me later!

My family and I visit North Myrtle Beach every year and this is one place that we always go to. We came here when we were the only ones eating in the restaurant a couple years ago and now it's always packed! But that doesn't stop them from always preparing delicious food quickly. The chicken Pad Thai is delicious and they have plenty of other great dishes. As others have said the location may be a bit of a turn off but as soon as you walk in the door the modern and high quality restaurant design makes you want to sit down and eat! The only other issue is slow service. Otherwise, definitely come here.

Great thai food. Don't let the strip shopping center deter you. Nice atmosphere inside. Wait staff very sweet. Good happy hour drink prices till 8 !! Thx Yelp reviewers for guiding us to this gem. Do visit, you'll be glad you did.

I've passed this place countless times since it opened and was turned off by the outward appearance. I live in Greenville , SC and we do have some good Thai restaurants. A couple of months ago my wife and I were here and were desperate for some Thai. After reading some Yelp reviews decided to give Thai Season a chance. The purpose of this preamble is to make a point about the fact that the store front can be misleading. We have now been three times and each time the food was very good. It was clean (very important) to us. The service was prompt and the servers were very friendly. We will continue to visit this establishment and will follow up with specifics. At this point I would recommend Thai Season.

Everything is good here! This is a treasure in a very surprising place. I have driven by this restaurant several times, hardly giving it a glance. But one day we stopped by just for lunch to try it. Well, we can hardly drive by now. The food calls you back over and over. Just remembering the curry make my mouth water. The staff is great, but the restaurant is small and some food does take some time to come out, but it is so worth it. If you like Thai food, or are giving it a try, this is the place.

  • Michael L.

Best Thai in town, well technically the only Thai in town. I love thai food, and while this place may not have the most mind blowing thai you've ever had it does have very good food. There are a fair amount of Asian fusion restaurants in North Myrtle, but this is the only truly authentic thai place. My fiancé and I visit this establishment quite frequently, and I can say that I've tried a wide variety of items on the menu. My favorites would have to be any of the Curries (mostly the Red and Massaman), the Rad Na, and the Hot and Sour Noodle Soup. I also highly recommend having a Chang Beer (Thai Lager) with your meal if you're into that sort of thing. The prices are pretty standard for a Thai place, but they do have a great lunch special where a few items are drastically less. All in all it's one of my favorite places in the area, and I would definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it. Also, it is worth noting that the inside is much nicer and more modern than it appears from outside. Like mom always said, "You can't judge a book by it's cover!" Seriously though, give it a try. Thai season is a great place with a good atmosphere and some really great authentic cuisine.

OMG! Best Thai food I've ever had! Great service and even better food. I ordered the massaman beef curry.

  • Jonathan B.

I've had lots of Thai food at different places before but this was one of the best. I ordered the Pad Thai mild and it wasn't spicy at all but my friends' meals - Thai curry and another type of Pad noodles were medium and I could eat them just fine despite being fairly sensitive to spicy stuff. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the lady who took our order was very nice. I really liked all of the traditional looking Thai paintings all over the walls. Don't leave without tasting the Thai iced tea either. If you like Southern sweet tea I think you'll love it.

Visiting N Myrtle and was extremely surprised with how exceptionally delicious the Thai food is here! This is one of thee BEST thai places I've been too. If you love Thai this is where you want to dine. The curry dishes are outta sight!

Passed by here tons of times and finally decided to stop in. We were pleasantly surprised at how good and authentic the food was. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because their service was slow. If they can overcome this timing issue of getting dishes out faster, I will gladly change my rating!! Definitely worth the stop.

This restaurant was a highlight of our trip to Myrtle Beach and we are so glad we found it! The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and comfortable. It was fairly busy for lunch time and there was only one person in the dining room handling the tables, so after we waited for a few minutes, someone from the kitchen came out and sat us. I am half Thai and have lived in Thailand for a few years, so I'm fairly picky when it comes to dining out at "authentic" Thai restaurants. I'm happy to report that this place is, in fact, authentic! Our server even attempted to speak Thai with me! Unfortunately, I only know "nit noy" and that mainly centers on what dishes I order at Thai restaurants! We ordered sticky rice and chicken satay for my daughters. Let me just say that it is a BIG DEAL that there was sticky rice on the menu. My mother makes it for my daughters all the time and their eyes lit up when they saw it on the menu. it's the only Thai restaurant I've been to that has served it. For myself and my husband, we had the spring rolls, lad na chicken (me) and pad gra pow (him). One thing I loved about my dish is that I didn't have to order it mild/medium/hot. They actually served it the traditional way, with a tray of condiments to tailor your noodles to your specific tastes, which included dry crushed red peppers, seasoned fish sauce, a vinegary pepper mix, etc. My husband's meal was slightly different from what my mother usually makes for him, in that the restaurant uses sliced chicken breast instead of ground and they included peppers and onions, while my mom leaves them out and just uses the Thai holy basil, garlic and hot peppers. Despite the difference, he loved it, as did I. The dessert, however, was icing on the cake. I ordered a banana roti, which is a warmed whole banana wrapped in a roti and drizzeled in condensed milk. A roti is kind of a cross between a pancake and a crepe. I hadn't had this dessert in twenty-five years, when I lived in Thailand, and when I bit into it, it brought back so many wonderful memories! The portions are reasonable, though not enough for us to have leftovers, the prices were great and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend Thai Seasons and only wish that I had placed a to-go order to have some more back at the hotel! TIP: Don't let your Maps app on the iPhone help you to find this place or you will be driving in circles! We finally gave up after 15 minutes and headed towards Barefoot Landing. Lucky for us, we spotted Thai Season in a older looking strip mall and pulled right in.

Excellent food. Do not pass it because of the location in rundown shopping center. Food very authentic. Outstanding coconut chicken soup. We ordered masaman beef, chicken panang, pad thai, and sweet and sour chicken. The first three dishes amazing. Sweet and sour chicken average but i am not sweet and sour fan but got it for the kids since it is not spicy. The service is great. Place is clean. Waitress very friendly. We walked in at 2pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was empty so we were concerned food may not be fresh but we were very pleasantly surprised. We would definitely come again.

We lived in Kuala Lumpur and love Thai & Chinese food. I had the cashew chicken and and my wife had the drunken noodles. The food was very good and very authentic. The mild spice was perfectly done for our tastes. The service was friendly and efficient. And, the prices were reasonable. The only negative was that they charged $2.99 for my Arnold Palmer and I was shocked to find out that they charged for refills. Not many restaurants charge for these refills.

Been going here for several years a couple of times a month. I gave it 4 stars because I only order the chicken fried rice, wonton and spring rolls. All delicious! 5 stars for these selections. Service is friendly and prices are fair. Highly recommend.

This place is GREAT....the food is the ABSOLUTE best....we were at the beach last week and ate at this place 3 times...the staff is very friendly...we look forward to going back in a couple weeks and we will for sure be at Thai Season...we really enjoy the Pad Thai and the Sweet and Sour Chicken...like a previous post says..don't let the strip mall its in deter you, very safe clean place....

  • Jeremy F.

The food tastes fresh; the sauces are well balanced and seem homemade; and the portion suited my expectations. The server was knowledgable of the menu. The decor was pleasant. The restaurant wasn't noisy. Judged within the context of other Asian restaurants that have the A1-B4-E8 style menu, Thai Season was one of my favorites.

  • Steve T.

This is a very solid Thai restaurant, especially for North Myrtle Beach. It is located in a sketchy strip mall (next to a closed-down tattoo parlor) but the restaurant interior is well-kept and tastefully decorated. My chicken pad thai was very good and had decent portion size. My wife really enjoyed her yellow curry dish. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for Thai in the NMB area. The only downside to our visit was that the restaurant charged extra when we requested for a serving of white rice. In my opinion, this is unnecessary and leads to poor customer satisfaction.

Excellent service with quality food. Thai Season is a reasonably priced alternative to the junk food of beach week at North Myrtle. The Panang curry was quite good.

Wow! Great food, nice warm atmosphere and super friendly service. Our waiter Nick was awesome. But the food is the reason to come here. Quality ingredients and spicing done just right. Our group had the Yellow Curry, Ginger Chicken, and Seafood Drunken Noodles - all delicious. We also had desert, sticky rice with ice cream and tempura fried cheesecake! The cheesecake is decadent and only $5! My girlfriend adds: "This place is awesome!"

In a word: wow! Both service and food were impeccable. Tried the Coconut Punch & Panang Curry and I can't stop thinking about either. Delicious. Service was also top notch. My sister was being super extra (I thought) & the server was always patient and kind. Highly recommended.

I love Thai Season. *The food is delicious; I recommend the Pad Kee Mao/ Drunken Noodle *Glasses of wine are generous *They accommodate well to vegetarian and vegan diners *The owners are always at the restaurant, and they're very sweet people. *It's still reasonably priced!

Consider myself a Thai food aficionado... don't think I've ever traveled anywhere for more than a couple days without indulging in Thai. Lived in Chicago and NY area so I've frequented a few Thai restaurants. Food is 7 on a scale of 10. Service is 9/10 maybe be close to perfect. Actually happens to be 2nd time there and this is consistent with last experience. I had Thai basil seafood Thai hot. Was not super hot but good. Added my own peppers etc still didn't break a sweat but happy. Wife had a crispy chicken dish...it was ok. Singhai were 3 for price of 2. Enjoyed a few rounds. Clean restaurant. Kitchen clean too not like other Thai restaurant mentioned. If in area again, I'd definitely come back. ps.... Directions via Yelp were nt accurate but called and nice lady directed us.

I've been here twice before I moved. It's been awhile, so I don't remember how the service was anymore. But the food there wasn't my favorite at all. WET fried rice with tomatoes and TOO much sauces.

  • Amit P.

Average food and below average service. Thai tea was great along with panang curry. Pad Thai was interesting and varied much from the usual we get in several restaurants. Service was slow but not a regular so possibly a blip in their routine.

    (3)
  • Angela H.

The food was decent; I had pad thai, which was a little bland but not the worst I've ever had. The peanuts tasted a little stale and the service was sub-par, they were inattentive (failed to offer refills on drinks until after we had finished and didn't check on us after we started eating) and spoke loudly amongst themselves in thai without regard to us or the other customers. If you do go here, just get take-out.

We were a group of 4 friends and just happened upon this restaurant. Two of the friends were well acquainted in eating Thai food. My other friend and I were a little hesitant of going due to how it looked on the outside and being to spicy. The other ladies assured that all good Thai restaurants looked like that from the outside and they would help us in our food choices. I was pleasantly surprised when we stepped through the door with the inviting atmosphere and the menu had where you could choose from mild, medium and hot. The 2 experienced ladies suggested we get different items and share. Since they liked it spicy we decided to share in pairs. They got the medium spicy Ginger Thai Style with Fried Tofu (Pad Khing) and medium spicy Duck Curry We got the mild Duck Curry and Drunken Noodle w/chicken (Pad Kee Mao). We all shared a dessert which I am not sure of the name but it was fried dough that we dipped in sweet condensed milked with crushed peanuts, yummy!! I also had the Thai tea and for this southern girl I really enjoyed the flavor. We ALL agreed the food was great and would make sure to visit again when we were in town. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I got the Massaman curry (with tofu), which I have never seen at another Thai restaurant - and it was delicious (you can't go wrong with potatoes, peanuts, and coconut milk). The service was super-friendly as well.

This place is a must hit spot while my husband and I are vacationing. We have our favorite Thai restaurant at home and Thai Season does not disappoint! I love the red curry (mild is all I can handle comfortably) and fresh rolls while husband loves the green curry (as hot as they'll make it). Service was quick as they weren't busy. Had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is clean and nice inside. The food was average, and not the best Thai I've had though. The chicken dish I had was somewhat dry, but still good. However, I would give them my business again and suggest others to try it.

This place was really great. It's a small little restaurant and it was clean. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I had the Thai iced tea which was good and not too sweet. The yellow curry with chicken was amazing. The best I ever had. Pad see Ew was good but the noodles were a bit chewy. For dessert I ordered the mango sticky rice. It was just ok. The rice was tough so I just ate the mango with coconut sauce. I would definitely come back here to eat if I ever visit Myrtle Beach again.

Very good Thai restaurant. I had the massaman curry. Very delicious. It's a bit different from the normal recipe but still very good. My friends both had the pad Thai and were very impressed. It's a very clean and inviting atmosphere. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is nice. I recommend this place very much. The service was a tad on the slow side though. It took quite a while to get our food. I never got a refill on my water. And getting our check took close to forever. But I was so satisfied with my food I chose to only remove one star. This would be a great place for a quiet meal. Wasn't very crowded. But then again we didn't show up for lunch until 1:30 or so. Located on the main kings hwy strip so it's very close to everything.

Highly recommended. Red (panang), green and yellow curry as well as crispy ginger chicken was delicious! Cured my hankering for Thai this week while vacationing in North Myrtle. Also, had a well executed mojito and hubby had a Long Island iced tea he enjoyed. Not much for ambiance (strip mall style location) but the staff was so, so sweet.

Average Thai food. We also had a large party, but they didn't let us all sit together but still charged us an 18% tip automtically (and even wrote it in on the bill). They forgot to make half of our party's food. They apologized for it, but still half of our party was waiting while the other half could eat. Average food, below average service.

We dined here one night on our myrtle beach vacation. From the outside it didn't look too fancy but when we stepped inside, everything was clean an modern. The wait staff was friendly and quick. We were not disappointed with anything that we ordered. I was thinking that the portions were kinda of small but then again I couldn't finish my laab chicken because I was full. I think that we have become accustomed to the huge portions so when we get the correct serving size it looks small! My cousin had the noodle soup, which is kind of like Vietnamese pho. The broth was dark because it is flavored for you, you don't have to add much unless you need it to be spicy. My friend April, had 4 appetizers, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, chicken satay, and the fish cakes. She enjoyed everything but the fish cakes. They had too much ginger. I tried a piece and it wasn't too bad. I think some Americans aren't used to some of the strong Asian spices/favors. My boyfriend got the garlic pepper stir fry. He gets the same type of stir fry at all the thai places we go to, he said that it was good and he finished his whole plate! I would dine here again the next time I am in myrtle beach!

Don't let the crappy run down strip mall facade fool you...the inside is spotless, tastefully upscale decore, nice bar, well and subtle lighting, easy going music played at the right volume ! ...and...very good food at reasonable prices.

I got the Massaman curry (with tofu), which I have never seen at another Thai restaurant - and it was delicious (you can't go wrong with potatoes, peanuts, and coconut milk). The service was super-friendly as well.

Such great Thai food with fresh basil and seafood. We came for lunch and service was efficient and friendly. Also, had a mojito that was a great complement to the drunken noodles!

Fresh, simple Thai food that was delicious. Had the service been a little better (lack of adequate staffing) is have given them 5 stars. For the price, it was very good food.

Average Thai food. We also had a large party, but they didn't let us all sit together but still charged us an 18% tip automtically (and even wrote it in on the bill). They forgot to make half of our party's food. They apologized for it, but still half of our party was waiting while the other half could eat. Average food, below average service.

Been going here for several years a couple of times a month. I gave it 4 stars because I only order the chicken fried rice, wonton and spring rolls. All delicious! 5 stars for these selections. Service is friendly and prices are fair. Highly recommend.

Average food and below average service. Thai tea was great along with panang curry. Pad Thai was interesting and varied much from the usual we get in several restaurants. Service was slow but not a regular so possibly a blip in their routine.

The food was too good and spiciness can be well customized.. The Curries and Noodles were well made. Many options available for any vegetarian...

Average food and below average service. Thai tea was great along with panang curry. Pad Thai was interesting and varied much from the usual we get in several restaurants. Service was slow but not a regular so possibly a blip in their routine.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is clean and nice inside. The food was average, and not the best Thai I've had though. The chicken dish I had was somewhat dry, but still good. However, I would give them my business again and suggest others to try it.

  • Mercedes M.

  • Tonyne H.

  • Kristine H.

  • Colleen S.

Don't let the crappy run down strip mall facade fool you...the inside is spotless, tastefully upscale decore, nice bar, well and subtle lighting, easy going music played at the right volume ! ...and...very good food at reasonable prices.
